Wynne Potter, B.Sc.
Wynne understands the business/government interface and appreciates the challenges to both business and government in growing business and the Atlantic Canadian economy. He has developed an extensive regional, national and international network of senior-level executives in business and government. He has a keen interest in issues affecting the natural resource industries of oil and gas, forestry and mineral and environmental sectors. One of his primary goals during his leadership of ACOA in Nova Scotia was to enable business growth for hundreds of clients in small and medium enterprises throughout the Atlantic Region. Wynne's strong communication and relationship skills, together with his in-depth understanding of the business/government interface, has earned him respect as a trusted advisor of business leaders, Boards of Trade, sector specialty groups, government officials, Ministers, Premiers, and Cabinet Committees. Wynne led many initiatives to improve business productivity and innovation and in negotiating and implementing significant economic development agreements. He also brought his strong management and team leadership skills to the successful delivery of key federal programs. Wynne is especially interested in complex business and government issues and in structuring solutions for senior executives. Wynne serves in the community as an active Board member in several organizations, such as Genome Atlantic, Discovery Centre, CEED (Center for Entrepreneurship and Education Development), and The World Theatre Festival. Wynne also owns and manages business ventures engaged in Christmas tree cultivation and vacation property development. |
